Had the sim before Christmas, as a result won't find out my fate till after the new year. So as i sit here for the next 2 weeks going over every single event in my head, I wonder has anyone managed to get through with a less than perfect sim?

My story in a nutshell, good NHP/PM and decent HP/PF.

My sector consisted of a good interactive briefing, accurate departure and standard en route section (communication, sharing mental models etc)
My only real concern is my arrival brief wasn't too great, bit too much detail and found myself not really getting into a flow(repeated myself a bit) I handed over control as I briefed and set up for the app, but probably as a result of my brief; our capacity was somewhat reduced. We turned inbound to the hold and found ourselves 3 miles south of the hold. ATC gave us a vector downwind for a LOC/DME app which was well flown, just until we became visual. Creeped into 4 whites, go-around.

Anyone had a similar scenario and been successful?
