As said above the extra expense of a ME-CPL probably isn't worth it as a SE will do. And who knows if I'll prefer ME over SE if I only have a SE-PPL

So I guess sticking to the conventional route is the way to do it.
One thing I'm starting to appreciate is why I should do my JAA PPL in the UK. If I do my PPL in the UK it'll also be with one of the schools above
(Aeros/BFC/Airways) so when I go back for the CPL I should know the airfield, approaches, instructors and aircraft pretty well.
