Glen was the Captain on 2 trips that I did not long before the "November Oscar" incident. He was an absolute gentleman and deserved the description of being 'a gentle giant'. In my view, he was appallingly treated by both Airline and CAA and as for the Judge, who tried to liken flying with driving, words fail me.
Later on, as a Captain, I flew 'NO' on a very interesting automatic approach, which weaved it's way down the ILS until I disconnected the automatics. My memory of that 747, is that it was downgraded to CAT 1 frequently.
