The very first time I went flying with the ATC, I was talking to my pilot about what I wanted to do. He told me that he had had an interesting route to getting to the front line. Between him and his nav, they had clocked up over half a dozen attempts at OASC.
Moral of the story, if you really want it, then this is just a temporary setback rather than a total show stopper. Find out what held you back this time (it may have been simple numbers), use the time to your advantage, get out, do more research, visits etc.
If you keep getting turned down by the same AFCO, think laterally - try a different AFCO!
