Aer Arran on the other hand are quite happy with the lucrative contract they've sourced from EM on the LPL route - far from EM seeing them off I would suggest that EM are dependant on them.

The majority of Manx public couldn't give a longtail's derriere who they fly with, be it an airline from Austria with gold emblems on the tail or a British loco. They just want a cheap and reliable air service. Now that Flybe have the integration woes well behind them and EMX have dropped their fares to match Flybe's, they're getting it.
