Low & Slow,. .. .Sorry, but you have an uphill struggle...nationality springs to mind.. .. .You would need some serious backing to get into any of the HMF, unless you had roots in the old Imperial Colonies, Empire, or Commonwealth (or you can prove your real father was a Royal Marine on Artic exercise). As much as we like Swedes ( I mash mine into the Spuds with gravy!) I think you are on to a loser.. .. .As far as I am aware (out of interest) the AAC (no Royal prefix..yet!) have a small fixed wing requirement 6 PBN Turbine Islander AL1's and only need to train 2-3 pilots a year, mainly experienced rotary guys who volunteer and get selected. I also suspect the current need will also diminish in the future, as the RAF make moves to take over the role.. .. .If you are keen on Aviation heli (as opposed to fixed / fast jet Air) style of flying. Try your own Svenska Flygapnet and plug for the helicopter wings that support the Army.. .. .If you do succeed though, post a thread and I will eat my mouse mat!
