Obviously after my day, the Guernsey route had been operated by HP7's, then normal sized Fokkers, then F27-500's before the first Air Yuk 146-200's took over and second day of service on the route the 146-200 needed an engine change after the oil went lumpy with bits of metal.
If you've ever seen the Channel TV programme 'A day in the flight of', filmed circa 1988 about Air Yuk 146(s), then I'm the ugly f*cker of the Ops Controller of the day that had a starring role.
