Thanks but am sure it's not about safety but simple economics. TOM has yet to figure out how to be a LCC and I suspect currently has horrible numbers. A very simple metric (yes I know it is not wholly true indicator) is to take the number of airline staff in the TOM groups' airlines and divide the staff number into the number of pax in a year. You then get a ratio of staff to pax

Then do the same with the competition.. you will see very quickly that there is a big difference in numbers and hence cost compared to FR/EZY etc. Staff = cost.

As for Incidents these of course are always very unfortunate, and this one is I think still under investigation. But incidents of this nature at least will not drive route decisions.

It usually economics or politics..
