However, it strikes me that this 'shouldn't' be required! Is it me, or does this highlight the dismal treatment of our proud and brave veterans generally?
More long-term, since niether the Gov or the British public, really want to support our folks, how would all serving members of all forces feel about giving up just 1 days pay to support a charity for this kind of case?
If anything could corner the Gov. , that would. Personally, I would.
In these times, a days pay, for helping our brave, is a very small price to pay. Pity the Hon Member for Scotland doesn't see it that way.
Finally, I think globally, that we should NEVER refer to him as Def Sec, only by his PRIMARY TITLE. (In the style of the 'B' word)
