I have known Laurie, Jason's father since we were at school together. We have watched both our sons growing up and shared their successes and failures.
Jason was always a delight to know from a very early age and we watched his progress through school and his flying career with a great sense of pride. He was always bursting with life and enthusiasm.
We share with R and his family a very great sense of shock and loss. To those who flew with him we ask that you revere his memory.
He will always be to us what his father always called him - "a star".
