You would think that with this boom in the biz jet, private ownership market, that the CAA would set some sort of regulation / licensing on the management companies. Maybe not to AOC standard, but certainly something that incorporates some sort of accountability.

If I owned an aircraft valued at multi millions, I would like the comfort of knowing that it was managed properly within defined guidelines, notwithstanding any flight safety issues. There seems to be a lot of variation within this market, with very little regulation on the operation. I guess the engineering issues are covered sufficiently under the specific aircraft type's maintenance programme.

Is there any regulation regarding crew hours for example ?
