It seems they're not too sure of their routing either. On the page with the pie chart they say they'll take off from French Valley airport, track up the West coast, through Alaska, Russia, blah blah blah. In the "Sponsorship Proposal" document, they're taking off from LAX, heading up the East coast, through Canada, Greenland, blah, blah, blah.
I've never attempted a round-the-world record, I have to admit, but I would have thought that a fairly fundamental decision, one you would take very early on, would be which way around the world you're going to fly.
