The car owner could be in the brown & smelly vis a vis their insurance cover, I'm afraid. All private car policies come with an "Airside Exclusion" nowadays - to whit, if your car is anywhere on an operational airfield where aircraft are in motion, or stored, or manoeuvring - it ain't insured!
Possibly many involved in the aviation biz, of all descriptions, might not know this. Read the small print.
