Helimission is supported only by private donations. In order to help the poorest, the users of the helicopters usually only pay the fuel costs. Flights in catastrophe operations and for medical emergencies are generally undertaken for free. The real costs of the flights are borne by Helimission. Each pilot/mechanic is paid through support that they receive from family, friends, and local churches. Except for the salary of our office personnel all donations are applied directly to our operations on the mission field, directly benefiting the people most in need.
