Well, I have always been a glance up person myself, the one thing I might pass on is to be very careful on a circle to land procedure when the weather is marginal, in my opinion the most dangerous type of approach by far, if you have a non flying crew member, make sure you brief them about what altitude you intend to maintain until turning final, safe flying.
