BA Classic Approach.

Im sorry about the ignorance.
Are you gentlemen talking about the approach in heathrow were they just missed a hotel on the go-around?

I have just heard briefly about it. What I heard from ex BA captains that they were all suffering from food poisoning and everything in this flight went wrong from the begining starting with delays.

I also remember the poor captain died shortly after this incident.

I dont want to comment since I dont know the details.

However from what I heard was that the crew did not get a fair treatment as a result of PR thing in BA.

I asked some of those BA guys where BALPA stood in this.
They said that BALPA did not defend this crew since they could not.
Reason I dont know.

Maybe some of you gentlemen would kindly shed some light on this incident for the rest of us.

In my company we once had an incident/accident and the company and the union backed the crew 100% even if the outcome could have been unfavorable for the crew.

Also if the crew or the captain was to blame it is still the duty of the union were the pilot pays his dues to defend him and do their best for the most favorable outcome for them with their employer.
