the Labour party would lose votes and the David Cameron-Blair would be voted in....and nobody wants to see that happen.

Or should that be the hand that beats you? Now, lets think again about Noo Liabour losing votes.
Maybe we should persuade the electoral commission to come up with some sort of scheme where by the number of Liabour seats in the House are tied to the amount the defence budget has increased in real terms since they took power in 97. Wonder what they'd think of that?
