Not exactly a failed ejection but as it turned out a needless one. When the canopy shattered on a 29? Sqdn Javelin, Akrotiri mid 60's, the Nav ejected, landed in sea picked up safely by SAR.
Javelin landed o.k Apparantly after canopy shattered Pilot asked Nav 'if you have to, can you eject?' Nav only heard key word and went.
Remember seeing Javelin land with rail protruding.
