Tried to check-in at 5am recently for the 7am to Gatwick with BE from BHD. At 5.30am the growing queue was still waiting for check-in staff to sit down at their desks (they were too busy chatting and finishing cups of coffee)...meanwhile the BMI staff next door had no queue to worry about as they were courteously dealing with their larger numbers with their own larger numbers...passengers simply had to walk up to one of the queueless desks...
Now try to tell me that this sort of service, only to sit on a slower aircraft, would encourage me to fly with BE to CDG...sorry, but EZY (or hopefully EI in future) will get my business anytime.
I try to be reasonable in my assessments of people, but any time I have flown with BE recently the service has been very poor...they rank marginally above FR in my book at the moment. And as BFS is handier for me, there really is no choice...
