The Q400 is a comfortable aircraft and operate the majority of the CDG services (Except the odd few which are 145s)
I am sure those people who would rather fly locally from BHD will not worry too much about the aircraft type as long as it flies and does not take all day. Two hours is not too bad and once your up, settle down with a G+T, paper and pringles and before you know it your landing.
