Winter was an odd time to launch Helsinki. It's much better as a summer destination.
I doubt the Ryanair flight to Tampere had massive impact. It would be like flying to Shannon to go to Dublin or Bristol to go to London. It's several hours away by train.
It's a route where One World might have been useful considering Finnair's considerable onward to Asia network.
