Post RAF Joining as pilot with frozen ATPL

Hey all,. .. .Odd as it may sound has there been an instance of anyone joining up as a pilot already with their JAR/CAA frozen ATPL?. .I know someone who's doing this - for their own reason's i.e. always wanted RAF but circumstances an' all - and it appears the RAF don't have a problem with it at all. In fact they seem quite encouraged by it!. .Personally I thought that they'd be of the 'bad habit's' opinion etc but it seems more like 'obviously trainable' and more of a sure bet. Could be wrong though!. .Welcome your comments but I can assure you it's not cause the commercial markets dried up! Application was pre-sept 11th.. .I was also wondering about whether they'd undergo full JEFTS training?. .Does that make them professionally qualified therefore eligible for enhanced pay and promotion? . .. .Cheers. .BUDGIE. . . . [ 10 March 2002, 15:10: Message edited by: BUDGIE ]
