Well having just spent a few months in Switzerland contracting (IT) I must say it's not *that* simple.
There are over two dozen tax systems in Switzerland (I think it's about 28.. but correct me if I'm wrong) and it all depends which Kanton (kind of like state) you live and which Geminde (kind of like council/local government area) you reside in.
Zurich has a differnent tax system to that of Bern and Zurich Stadt (city) has a different rate to say Meilen or Olten.
Sorry that this isn't a straight forward answer, but you haven't really given enough information for the Swiss taxation system...
