Post Chinooks plumb new depths - Official!

While perusing that great paragon of quality journalism, the Daily Mail, this morning, I was surprised to be informed, as part of a huge Afghanibollox graphic, that the US Special Forces' Chinook's 'bodywork'is a:. .. ."Titanium casing designed to withstand impact of 2.25 tonnes and water pressure down to 20,000 feet.". .. .I knew that all aircraft are capable of reaching the seabed (once) but has anyone heard of a mission requirement for the Chinook to operate at the bottom of the Marianas Trench? . .. .I think this must be the same graphics genius who gave us all those 'Tora Bora cave complex' drawings, showing something like the Park Lane Hilton dug into a mountain.......
