I had a look on board their aircraft at the Dubai airshow, and thought it was fairly hideous. The brown colour scheme looked like something from the 70s. The seats were very uncomfortable, and felt quite packed in. The cabin didn't have the air of luxury that any other serious airline's C cabin has.

I am very afraid about the future of this concept, one big problem is that people like to have "peasants" in economy to feel superior to, and a First to aspire to. Neither of these on Silverjet!

Or is there? To be honest, having only experienced the cabin on the ground I feel that the true positioning of the Silverjet product is really as a sort of "premium premium" economy, rather than business.

One really good thing was the hostie - the one I chatted to was a cut above the usual, definitely harking back to the BCal glory days as someone else noted.

Time will tell...
