If someone gets chopped it usually happens durring the OPC/LPC in the sim before the line training or prehaps if someone did gash circuits in the ATR72. So the situation tends not to arise.
Can confirm Aurigny do back pay from day one so no one gets robbed!
You have to understand that ATR pilots are always in demand at the moment as there is massive fleet expansion around the world for this type. The problem for Aurigny is that they have taken on people in the past who have an ATR type which has expired and want to work somewhere else and just use Aurigny to get their ticket renewed then buzz off without so much as a good-bye, leaving the company with the bill and a gapping hole in the roster. It is for this reason that things have come to this.
If people seem promising but not up to standard they will give extra training as long as they continue to show reasonable improvement each time they fly.
