Thumbs down

Hi!

I am currently working for GJL.

The main problem is the roster and the difficulty to communicate with the office. For ex. if you foresee any upcoming difficulties (license validation, visa etc.) and you inform the office about it, they ignore the warnings and wait until the last minute which often leeds to avoidable problems. The crew usually consists of two commanders and two f/o's per plane. Medical, license or visa problems are not covered by additional pilots and therefore one of the crew has to fly until your colleague is back.

If you are willing to fly additional weeks on your duty it is probably not a bad job, but you won't get extra money for extra days on duty. They offer a 15/13 roster but this usually does not work.

The company is growing rapidly and the management and office structures are not growing at the same rate as the company is growing. The big boss is controlling everything, his stuff has to report to him and cannot make own decisions. The post-holders are only for Jar-Ops purposes and have no power in the company. This slows down the performance and causes additional problems, mainly communication wise.

So long and

take care
