No, we did non evacuate, we taxied to the gate escorted by the fire trucks. I found that a bit puzzling.

was the smoke still persistent after landing? do you think you should have evacuated? from your 1st post, it sounded like the situation was well-handled. i guess since everyone walked away, it was a good decision not to evacuate rather than risk injury in an evacuation. had that happened, perhaps you wouldn't be able to make this post from the comfort or your home or room?
