Be slightly wary about the licencing requirements.

Ex-military pilots can apply WITHOUT any licence at all as long as they can prove they will have an ATPL(A)f at the time of contract issue.

I don't think this applies to pilots from other airlines who must input their licence number into the online application in order to proceed.

An ATPL(A)f is a CPL(A) with the ATPL theory exams completed. You can fly as FO with a Blue licence whilst waiting for the hours required to upgrade to the Green Licence. Which, incidentally, BA pays for!

Generally you will fly sector/sector about as PIC U/S so it doesn't take very long (approx 2-3 yrs) to rack up the required PIC U/S(1500 hours) hours for the upgrade.

Just wanted to post to say don't beleive everything on this board applies to your situation/circumstances.
