Just looked at the RAF Upwood website.
What a wonderful history, so closely linked to the Canberra and a proud history as a bomber base. Infrastructure still appears largely intact. May have to swing the old MG by there the next time I'm down that way.
God I miss the cold war, all those old Sqn's, all those lions rampant on mullets addorsed, so proud.....so pissed. Never mind.
