Well the airport have today comfirmed that Tour Operator, Thomas Cook will be basing one of the own Airbus A320 aircarft at LBA next summer 2008.
By doing this they are increaseing Capacity by 20% and works out at about 10 thousand extra seats over this summer 2007.
Thousands of Extra Seats with Thomas Cook
Thomas Cook Holidays are to base their own aircraft at Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA), this will increase their capacity by 20% and provide an extra 10 thousand seats for summer 2008.
Thomas Cook, who have a base in Bradford, have committed an A320 aircraft from their fleet to operate their summer 2008 programme to 17 European holiday destinations including, Mainland Spain, the Balearics, the Canaries, Greece, Malta, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus.
James Burrows, Aviation Director at Thomas Cook said: “We recognise the potential for growth at Leeds Bradford Airport and by having a based aircraft we can meet the increased demand of the people in the Yorkshire region”.
