So how much longer will it take to get planning permission for an extension of the runway and if they do get it how long will it take to construct and will its construction effect flights?
I really believe the local authorities should be doing everything in their power to keep Ryanair in Belfast. If we are serious about increasing tourism in Belfast and Northern Ireland then we need an airline like Ryanair who can bring in tourists from all over Europe. You go to Dublin and a great deal of people coming off flights from Europe aren’t actually Irish. Why can't it be anything different for Belfast? What does Dublin have over Belfast when you think about it… Very little. Yeah undoubtly we don’t as many tourist attractions but if we can get the Maze, Crumlin Road jail, Titanic Quarter/Harland & Wolff etc all turned into attractions it can attract tourists from all over.
