CPL (H) Hourbuilding
HI.
Not sure if this belongs here or somewhere else,
Getting through my ATPL's looking at doing some hour building.
Some say goto the states and build / IR / CPL there then come back and convert.
Others say, stay here (UK) hour build here then do the CPL here.
If I stay here, I have to build 150 hours (enough to start the FI) course.
If I goto the states do the IR / CPL then return I will gain air experiance over there but not 'local' experiance.
I have been asking several schools what they suggest for hour building over here but most have been a bit cagey until I confirm I will be doing my CPL with them, I suppose they dont want to waste their FI's time helping me plan the hour building structure then swanning off to another School.
Will I 'miss out' on experiance by flying states side might it be frowned upon by a school when I apply for an FI job as most of my experiance is in the US.
Its a close call financially as I still have my wife and child to feed and house whilst I am 'having a great time in the states' as my friends call it!!
I will be upgrading my IR when I return (and funds are available). so the IR would not be wasted. Not that any time in the air could be wasted.
Thoughts and ideas welcome.
Thanks
Mike
