SweFly had the foresight to fly to a massive Asian market, sadly their venture failed.
The lo-co's cannot make long haul work. MOL has stated that the 787 can make this market huge profits, but not at the prices Boeing are charging for an airframe in HUGE demand.
MOL bailed out Boeing with a 100 airframe order for the 737-800 after 9-11 and is seeking a similar 'dip' in 787 prices to make the investment work.
Well AsiaX will be able to utilise the runway extension, or the new runway that ACDL were once promising!
Ciao Fly for now!
