When you get onto the BGS ATPL notes, you find that they tend to focus on the 737-800 series when talking about EFIS/EICAS, Autoflight, TCAS & GPWS - the Flight 296 accident is one of the models we have had come up in class to consider the differences between the Airbus FBW aircraft and Boeing series.

Much speculation exists as to whether the brand new (at the time) A320's FBW control laws were programmed properly.
