If you read some of the news stories about the strike, the construction companies are in a bit of a bind. The "south Asian" workers are not flocking towards Dubai anymore due to the rise of inflation and jobs can be found in India, because of its booming economy. These workers are not fearing deportation anymore. Dubai could come to a quick halt if things don't change. Inflation, wage stagnation, no workers, traffic, unfinished construction projects. The dream could turn into a nightmare if wages and conditions don't change for the better.

On our end of it, take a look at the KAL contract that continues to be pushed. $13k a month after all taxes paid for 777 pilots and off basings as well. Even Singapore is losing pilots due to the KAL contract, not many, but a few. How many here are contemplating the move? Hmm, around $8k for a first year DEC or $13k at KAL and others. Me thinks that TCAS need to have a serious talk with HR.
