The TV in Honkers sucks arse!
I was so disapointed to find out that this high-tech city has such sucky TV.
-The TV comes from the phone line, so the picture quality is horrendous. Its like watching videos on Youtube, that is the only thing I can compare it to.
Which also means that the bigger your screen, the crappyer it looks.
-The channels suck. If you showed HK HBO to an HBO executive in the states he would barf. The movies are really old and they are edited. It is a really weird editing though, not just for skin. Curse-words are edited and they don't have the cutting-edge programming you get from state-side HBO.
-This means that the internet is also squite slow. Somewhere between Dial-up and DSL in the states. You won't get cable-modem speeds because coax does not exist here, so cable and cable modem don't exist either!
Hopefuly HK will join the 21st century some time before the 22nd. Yai communism...
