The tests have changed since 2004. Hence anyone attending who has sat the aptitudes twice before 04 will sit a battery of 5 new tests. You can prepare to some degree for 3 of the 5 - SDT, digit placement recall and verbal reasoning. The other 2 are much more difficult to prep for and one is heavily weighted for pilot and known as the trace test. The other one is just watching a sequence absorbing colour, maneouvres and placement and answering questions at the end of the sequence regarding what you just saw.
It is apparent that good maths and hand eye coodination doesn't cut it anymore. The weighting has shifted since 04. They are also trialing some new tests at the moment.
