On 25th October, at the press launch of the Augusta 109 as the new Leics/Derby/Rutland air ambulance, the Sloane pilot Paul Smith stated that the 109 was a "more technically advanced helicopter" than the 135 or 902 and that when it arrived on scene of an accident was able to shut down in only 2 minutes, compared with the 4-5 minutes of the 135 or 902 !!
