Ouch! Not again! When will they ever learn?
Pilots did not panic? How did they know the poor guys did not panic? Did they just accept their fate and sit there when they realized that the runway end of RWY12 is about to pass under them? Well, of course it's technically not panicking, just "keeping the situation under control". My oh my, these guys really spend a lot for public relations. See how they put a positive note on this incident? Next thing we'll read from the papers is that the passengers were treated very nicely by the ever efficient ground staff and that it was not in any way a dangerous accident, just a little overrun. The plane will be repaired and flown back to Manila like it just suffered a flat tire or something...same old story.
I'll wager a bet it won't be the fault of PAL nor the aircraft, not even the pilots but the runway itself that will get the blame for this incident.
At least nobody died, that's a relief....
