But did she say you have had no further episodes since surgery?

Cholecystectomies are sometimes performed as being the most likely solution to a severe abdominal pain, which may in fact have arisen from some other site e.g. appendix. Most mature adults have some evidence of gall bladder disfunction but it is not always clear if this is the cause of a given set of symptoms.

Perhaps the CAA is simply lacking confirmation that you are now free of symptoms i.e. they got the correct diagnosis, which your GP can properly give.
