BE are the airline best suited to BHD, do management at the airport not realise this. I get the feeling that as the numbers at BHD continue to slide, FR are the only hope to turn the tide. However numbers are not everything, sometimes a quality product is a lucrative alternative. The numbers are not far off the 2 million mark now, if BE are forced out and BD lose numbers to EI (seems unlikely with the way things are going with EI), FR may very well be the major operator quite quickly. However the extra noise generated by a higher proportion of jets operating will not work in favour of any planning enquiry. Also if FR were to be the main operator the 4m PA figure that BHD wants to attain may still be a goal to far, as if you look at Prestwick I think it carries about 2.5 million only, with all those FR destinations. Combined with fines for late arrivals FR may soon tire of BHD.
