youtube is a streaming flv file so downloadable like anything else. Google 'download youtube' or something to that effect and you'll find a few methods. I used to use
http://www.youtubex.com/ ; there're a few other websites that will do it for you too. Now I use a free program called Orbit which embedds in IE, captures most media, downloads it and converts it to a few different formats
