One-Two-Go crash caused by 'wind shear'
(BangkokPost.com) - Results of an examination of data recorders and witness accounts have prompted officials to believe that wind shear was the cause of the horrendous One-Two-Go air crash that left 90 people dead and more than 40 injured in Phuket last month.
Transport permanent secretary Chaisawat Kittipornpaiboon, who is heading the inquiry into the disaster, said sudden strong winds caused trouble for the plane landing on September 16.
The examination of the black boxes was conducted in the US.
Mr Chaisawat said a press conference will be held in the afternoon to explain the cause of the crash thoroughly.
