Sadly our system allows guys to keep flying with 'fablon biff-chits' -fit to fly but unable to complete a fitness test for medical reasons.
How difficult is it to grasp? The purpose of the RAF IS to fly, anything else is an side issue, nothing sad about it - are you seriously suggesting grounding anyone who can't pass the RAFFT? Would you rather have good aircrew with years of experience or sprogs that look good on the cover of the Gay Times for that difficult and dangerous job?
