8 months seems unrealistic. How long does it take to train a cadet at the established cadet flying schools in Oz? How long does a cadet train for at China Southern, FTA or Singapore Flying College? If they do go down the MPL path (which is designed specifically for this purpose), then it's still going to take 15 to 18 months.
