Being over here on the west side of the pond, We'all ain't privy to the lingo like "projectLauren" means British Airways. We just figgered They'd call it British Airways. Guess I must be missin' something.
Yes, but it will not be known as British Airways in it's entirety. BA will want to differentiate this product with mainline BA for several reasons. The primary one however is using a single isle a/c across the pond doesn't compare to the 777/747 currently used by BA. The marketing team have decided that they do not wish to dilute the BA brand by marketing it as the 'full BA brand', but to make customers realise that this is British Airways but with a slight difference.

In my view not the best idea, would have been better off utilising the 'best' a/c to preserve the 'product' rather than try and manage with what's left over.
