The B737-800 has operated a number of times in and out of Jersey, these flights tend to be on long sectors with a tech stop on the outbound leg, when they operate to Paphos in Cyprus when the are full they need to tech stop at Beauvais in France as the runway in Jersey is not long enough for a fully laden 800 on that type of sector
As for Thomson pulling out on some rotes it is for a number of reasons and one is not the load factors on the routes they are pullint but with the change within the company and the aircraft changeing to B737 800 jersey is not viable with the 800 as this goves the best pasrt of an increase on 40 percent or more load fact available.
With the routes Thomson operates to Jersey the B737 500 is of a good size to fill for the market they were aiming for so a LCC operation into Jersey an aircraft of a hundered is what the Jersey market can take.
