A sat nav from a car is someting that can be sold for a tenner in pub a Garmin 296 is no use to you average scrote in the street . Therefore this would have been nicked by someone who wished to use it or someone who knew exactly who to sell it to , in this case an aviator .
Just to put you in the picture the going prices on the street for stolen goods is as follows
Mountain Bike 20 quid , suspended mountain bike 30 quid
Car stereo 10 or less
sat navs for cars 10 quid
Audi TT thief gets a grand per car if nicked with keys nowadays they wont steal them without
Garmin 296 thief would probably have asked for a about 20-30 quid depneding on who had asked him to get it .
So if we point out a Bag of heroin is 10 quid and the average user needs 3 bags per day minimum youcan see why the crime rate is so high . This is why we have invested heavily in cowardly support officers , ooops sorry they dont actually assist in solving vehicle crime do they , my mistake , come the revolution

As an Ex Police Officer, I have to point out, a simple fact, " if there were NO handlers, there'd be no thieves "
I wonder how many times, you / we have been offered items for sale, far too cheap to be kosher ? have you phoned the Police or noted the offenders Index number, or did you give the scum bag some readies for the bargain ! which only a few days previous was stolen from a guy, just like you & me.
there's no such thing as a victimless crime, in the end we all suffer.
Support Officers ! oh dear, another cheap attempted vote catcher.
