I think maybe the inadequacies in the operation of Air New Guinea may not altogether be the shortage of enough suitable aircraft. If the facts are checked I am led to understand that they cannot obtain enough suitably qualified pilots to fly the aircraft they have.
I am surprised at the shortage of pilots given the fact that they are not expected to pay for endorsements, are provided with excellent accommodation and receive remuneration that compares more than favourably with most of the operators in Australia. Having a close family member who has been employed by the company for the last 6 months I know this as fact.
